I know how you feel! I've been exactly where you are now. There's nothing worse than when doubt creeps in and you worry about your lack of knowledge and additional treatment skills.
When I started treating postoperative plastic surgery patients, I was in the same position as you! Yes, I was confident in treating lymphoedema and performing a 'normal' Manual Lymph Drainage treatment. But I was scared and worried when I had someone on my treatment bed who had just gone through a plastic surgery procedure.
After twenty years working in healthcare, and working alongside some of London's leading specialists in their field, I gained valuable insight and most importantly experience, working with a vast array of patients.
Now, let me guide you through YOUR journey to Postop SUCCESS and bypass the 20 years I spent getting to where I am now.

Here's What We'll Cover...
Postoperative Therapy:
1: Advanced M.L.D. techniques
You will learn Manual Lymph Drainage protocols and revised drainage pathways specific to each plastic surgery procedure
2: Lymphatic K-Taping
Discover how to use K-Tape as an additional therapy to help reduce swelling following each cosmetic plastic surgery procedure
3: Postop Medical Compression
Postoperative Compression after surgery is a must. After this class, you will understand how compression works, why it's important and what garments are best suited for certain procedures
4: Using Additional Foams
Foams can be a postop therapist's best friend! You will learn indications for using foams, what foams are best to use for certain presentations and how to cut a bespoke piece depending on the patient's procedure and individual needs
5: Positioning & Bolstering
Making sure your patients is comfortable and well-supported during their treatment sessions is important. After this class, you will know what bolsters and padding works best following each cosmetic plastic surgery procedure
Lipoedema Liposuction:
1: Lipoedema Pathophysiology
Discover all about Lipoedema; what it is, how it occurs and how best we can help our patients manage this complex condition both pre and postoperatively.
2: Pre & Postoperative Treatment
Learn treatment protocols for women planning their liposuction surgery, and for when they return after surgery. This will include Manual Lymphatic and Compression Therapy to prepare the tissues for surgery and help reduce swelling after surgery.
3: Multilayer Bandaging
Multilayer bandaging is the Gold Standard of care for helping reduce swelling after surgery and in aiding skin retraction when there has been tissue debulking. Bandaging takes practice to perfect but, this training will get you on the road to bandaging success! You will also learn how to teach your patient to self-bandage successfully.
4: Measuring for Compression
Measuring for compression is a skill in itself. You will learn how to measure your patient for Flat-knit, custom-made compression tights.
5: Ordering Custom-Fit Compression
Filling out a compression ordering form requires patience and detail. You will learn how to fill out an order form and make contact with the various garment suppliers.
